Combustor Bypass System
Siemens/Westinghouse 501 F/G Gas Turbines

The REXA Xpac qualified for "on turbine mounting" in the combustor bypass system. Qualification meant a severe shake (50 & 60 Hz plus natural frequency dwell) and bake (200°F for two weeks). The separate control enclosure allows the "electronics" to be placed in a less hostile environment.

Because of potential hot gas leaks, the maximum temperature for these units has been increased to 300°F.

Fluid Coupling

The actuator arm positions a hydraulic scoop tube to control the speed of the fan. REXA custom manufactured a small precise actuator to fit an unusual space requirement.
