Former President and CEO of Masoneilan, Robert Glomeau, founded REXA, Inc. in 1981. Robert was driven by his perceived need for a better actuation technology for the process control market.
REXA secured an infusion of capital from venture capitalists that allowed it to begin selling Electraulic™ Actuators in 1988.
Company was purchased by the Japanese control valve company, Nihon Koso. A new U.S. company was formed: Koso America, Inc.
Due to the ongoing growth in the Oil and Gas market, REXA saw a need for a facility in the Texas area. REXA opened Service and Distribution Center opened in Houston, TX.
REXA purchased Hammel Dahl from Neles Jamesbury and moved manufacturing from Chihuahua, Mexico to West Bridgewater, MA.
REXA’s revenue increase 5-fold through 2012.
Sam Lalos was appointed President and CEO.
The REXA brand formally split from Koso America, Inc. creating a new company.
Geoff Hynes was appointed President and CEO.
