ROI Example: Chemicals - Feed Control To Reactor

Introduction: A chemical plant in Texas produces sodium cyanide briquettes, used for gold extraction in mining. Its production process uses hydrogen cyanide, a lethal gas as feed chemical. Safe production is important at the plant to avoid exposure to workers.

Problem: The plant was experiencing reliability and product quality issues with the originally installed pneumatic actuator. The feed gas formed sticky coating on valve body, increasing the required thrust over time. The process would shutdown due to out of spec reactor product quality. 

REXA Solution: The end user replaced the pneumatic actuator with REXA. Positioning improved and shutdowns related to the valve were eliminated. Improved control with REXA ~$600k per year savings with reliable production.
